Oh and it's a nice looking bike. Seems like the suspension is kind of over kill for the motor though. they could easily put Showas or KYBs on it and sell it for 3k quid less. But then it would lose some of that rarity effect, as well as the cool gold bits.All alas, I'm just a regular middle-income fellow so canot oblige, but if they would make a 'dumbed-down' version, I'd be on it like like a 2-year old with a lollipop!. You know ditch the BST for something more regular, Ohlins for showa's, brembos for nissins, sans any spendy carbon fiber, substitute for black (flat, matte, gloss..whatever is appropriate), bring er in at $9-10k and I'm in!!

It now looks like September could see the first of the new Norton 961 SE Commandos rolling off the production line. Although very similar in appearance to the ‘Kenny Dreer’ machine, it has been totally re-engineered and now boasts fuel injection.

The motor remains a pushrod Parallel Twin and is expected to give 80-85 hp in its final form. The frame too remains as per the prototype, BST carbon fiber wheels, Ohlin’s forks and twin rear shocks; along with Brembo brakes also mirror the original. Only 200 of these new machines will be built, all coming with a numbered plaque, costing £15,995.

This car's an absolute stunner! No words to express this design! I don't mind eating this off of a plate if it was palatable ;) Tasty design it is. Citroen have taken a step in the right direction with the DS, that too with this absolute stunner of a design! In fact every automaker (read Bentley Mulsanne) should take a leaf of this designfind it rather disturbing, i mean the styling. it is not as pure as the other range.. i don't know maybe because it's a DS? not exactly beautiful but looks very clumsy and uncomfortable to look at especially at the front - too much toyota iQ .Frensh cardesign is something special, no question. in the last years frensh carmakers develop their designlanguage more and more to their point of image like in the old days. They leading the polarism and they leading the Avantgarde. Thank you Renault, Peugeot and ecspecially Citroen! well i can see who's picked up renault's fallen design baton. citroen's clearly on a role. definitely the best french marque when it comes to design and styling out of peugeot and renault... genuinely original detailing. well done citroen The petrol engines are expected to have power outputs of 71kW (95bhp), 89kW (120bhp) and 112kW (150bhp). The two diesel motors will put out 90bhp and 110bhp respectively, with C02 emissions coming in at 99g/km. Five or 6-speed manual transmissions will come standard but Citroen might throw in an automatic.

Citroen will follow up the DS3 with two other upmarket DS models namely the DS4 and the DS5 in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

I´d say the styling is pretty nice, even better than the Gol/Voyage versions. However we will have to wait and see whether they can take the top spot from the Fiat Strada in that segment, even more so if there aren´t any rear seats in that extended cab. That´s a real pity. yeah i'd like to see vw foist this on the europeans. why is it the south american market gets such a bad deal. vw's are just terminally dull to look at anyway with zero design flair... I think it looks rather good considering it was built to a limited budget for the markets of developing nations. After all, not everyone in the world can afford a lifted 4WD pickup with thirsty V8 or turboed V6. Somebody's been hitting the Hatorade pretty hard. Yes, like some said, Saveiro is very popular here in Brazil, and probably will return to be on the top of the sales. The hatchback version(Gol) and the saloon(Voyage) are on the top too. Of course is not exactly a masterpiece, but I think that it is good for what it stands for. One flex-fuel engine size will do duty and provide two different power outputs depending on its fuel source. The 1.6-litre VHT (Volkswagen High Torque) filled with petrol makes 74kW (101hp) while filled with ethanol produces a slightly higher 77kW (104hp).

Three trim levels are available, a 1.6l (base), 1.6l Trend and 1.6l Trooper. The 1.6l is the most basic workhorse and features unpainted bumpers and very simple interior trim. Its sole purpose in life is to work. On a higher level is the Trend which comes with features like body colour-coded bumpers. Some may even go as far as calling it a freight car with flair. Top of the range is the Trooper model which is aimed at younger, active people. Visually it is also more specified.

It is a outstanding engineering job just to get that big motor into a sportbike frame much less make it fast. Outsourcing brakes and supension is necessary if you want your bike to have the best components and all the manufactures do it. If every bike manufacture had to build 100% of the parts in house there would be about 1 still in business (even Ural and Enfield outsource parts). Congratulations for getting the prototype built and it shows the dedication Mr.Roehr for spending the fortune it cost to build such a machine.
I like the style and look of this bike. But he sourced the wrong engine. Designers need to stop making decision from the top of the 'Made In America' soap box. Brembo and Ohlins aren't american made so why would he care that the engine is (which technically I challenge because it was engineered elsewhere). He should have sourced Ducati's 1098 or 1198 engine or better yet Aprilia's new v4. So he sourced the wrong engine and then needed to add complexity in the way of super charger to it to get into the same performance league as his competitors. Just stupid.
Let's not forget the Erik Buell has made successful, innovative street bikes and, while Harley now owns a controlling interest in Buell, Erik Buell was one guy working in a barn making motorcycles. In a 2006 interview, Erik Buell had this to say about the V-Rod engine: “It’s too big! It actually was our engine. We started the project and then Harley got engaged and said that we’d like to use it too. And then they said, well actually we’ll probably gonna use it first. And then they thought about it and what bike they could build around this engine. They came up with this big touring cruiser. The engine as we had conceived it was too small. It was wrong. And they said that we want, like in all our bikes, the engine to be a showcase in the middle. In a 66inch wheel-based bike this little engine would just look stupid, so they made it bigger. I said, you know, it’s no longer a sporting engine. It’s a big twin, and a beautiful engine for that kind of bike. But, for me again, sport means nimble, athletic, light and it just became a big beautiful touring cruising engine. I just had to go; you know my customers won’t be satisfied with it. And it’s heavier than the air-cooled, significantly heavier without the water and radiator. I had a target of 140 pounds and it’s (V-rod engine) 210. Nothing wrong with it, it’s just not for our bike.” All that said, I hope that Roehr succeeds and that the bike makes people happy. The vast majority of riders on Japanese liter bikes, Ducati 1198s, etc. would be faster, smoother, better street riders with engines that were less peaky, in frames with ergonomics designed for 70mph average speeds instead of 130mph average speeds, and with suspension tuned for the street rather than for ultra-smooth race tracks. So the fact that the Roehr is not a joy on the race track does not necessarily mean that it's a bad choice on the street.

For the Equinox’s second act, Chevrolet has redesigned it inside and out and now offers a four-cylinder—a 2.4-liter similar to the one in the Cobalt, Malibu, and Saturn Vue, except the Equinox’s four has direct fuel injection and a higher compression ratio (11.4:1). Output is 182 horsepower at a high 6700 rpm, and 172 pound-feet of torque gets delivered at 4900 rpm. Unlike GM’s powerful four-cylinder engines of the past, this one is smooth and emits nary a protest all the way to 7000 rpm.

With the four-cylinder and the standard six-speed automatic, the 3800-pound, base front-drive Equinox gets from zero to 60 mph in an estimated 8.7 seconds; the nearly 4000-pound all-wheel-drive model is estimated at 9.6 seconds to 60. More impressive are EPA fuel-economy ratings of 22 mpg city and 32 highway for the front-drive four-cylinder version.

The G37 copes with the extra heft over its sedan stablemate—and satisfies the sportier criterion—with a new 3.7-liter version of Nissan's venerable VQ V-6 engine. The boost in displacement comes from a longer stroke; both the 3.5- and 3.7-liter engines in the G-car feature a taller block than the previous generation's powerplant. The G37 takes the latest engine improvements a step further and adds variable valve timing and variable lift on the intake side, and the compression ratio increases to 11.0:1. Power is up 24 horsepower at 330, and the torque output increases two pound-feet to 270.

The FX50 was adopted into our fleet for several reasons. First, we’re big fans of vehicles built on Nissan and Infiniti’s FM platform, which includes the 370Z and 10Best-winning G sedan and coupe. That’s why the Evora is so much larger—21.9 inches longer, with a 10.9-inch stretch in the wheelbase—putting it on par with more mainstream sports cars such as Porsche’s 911 and Cayman. Roughly five inches shorter than a 911, the Evora still houses a similarly sized (i.e., tiny) back seat, which is optional and seems adequate for little people and children up to 10 years old.

In front, even this six-foot-five-inch driver—Lotus’s claimed design target—had to slide the seat forward a couple of inches from its most rearward position, and the amply padded, leather Recaro seats were comfortable throughout a 250-mile drive. Easing entry and exit are narrower doorsills and a seating position that is 2.6 inches higher than the Elise’s. But the footwell is still narrow enough to require a miniature dead pedal.

Went to dealer to buy a fully loaded Grand Touring Mazda 3. While the guy was working up a sheet I noticed a new 2010 Speed out on the lot and asked for a test drive. Afterwards, test drove the Grand Touring again--why the hell even bother with that grocery getter? The worm has definitely turned for me. Will have to teach the wife to drive a stick again and there'll probably be lots of cursing involved, threats of divorce, etc. But she'll get used to itUpon introduction, the MAZDASPEED3 is equipped with a standard 2.3-liter, I4, 263-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard.
