Porsche Panamera Diesel ? Ok, but why they not put the mighty 6.0 V12 500 HP engine from Audi Q7 in this 4-door coupe ? I think that this motor, even it's a heavy machine, will fit ok in the Porsche reputation. I'd have to agree, this wouldn't make sense at all following tradition, the Turbo S is always above the Turbo. I figured they would build a GTS but thought it would be in line with the Cayenne GTS. Who's to say, as much as I love Porsche, I have to question their ideas at times. Only problem is, every time I question them, they prove me wrong... So far anyways. I just hope they bring a manual trans over to N.A. so it will at least be an option for some! PDK only? This means the GTS will likely boast more than 500 horsepower, which should enable it to beat the 4.0 second 0-60 mph time of the Panamera Turbo. The GTS is also expected to ditch the Turbo's heavy air suspension system, in favor of traditional coil springs. Porsche to Launch High Performance Panamera GTS 2010 2011

According to Autocar, Porsche is also considering a diesel-powered Panamera. If such a model were to be built, it would likely adopt a modified version of the Cayenne's 240 bhp 3.0-liter V6 or the Audi A8's 322 bhp 4.2-liter V8.

One word: Beautiful! That right there, ladies and gents, happens to be my dream car! The very definition of a no nonsense sports car (minus the exotic flare) where form meets function while managing to staying in line with it's heritage. Pardon me for just one moment, but I must say... ahem... Porsche rules! While based on the Porsche 997 the SPR1 T80 will most certainly show the factory unit its massive rear spoiler should it come to that. Using the 3.6-litre bi-turbo flat six, SPORTEC went to the workshop with something making around 350kW (476hp) and came out with a 640kW (858bhp) hurricane. The maximum torque is 870Nm at 4,800rpm and is split within all four wheels via the 6-speed manual gearbox.
Full use of the launch control system that includes a limited slip differential sees the car leap from 0 - 62mph in 3 seconds flat, with the 300km/h indicator coming up in just 18.9 seconds and the top speed is more than 380km/h. This was achieved at Nardo in Italy.I'm also thinking how many more 911 tuning packages can there be?? Is there really such a big market for them? To be honest, if I would have money for a GT2, I wouldn't do any tuning. Wheels would be the maximum. New Sportec SPR1 M 2009 2010 full details released
But of all the tuning packages I saw until now, this is one of the best!

Why are the postponing the models? So if they are production-ready, putting it in the fridge and take it out a year later, wouldn't that kinda be a disadvantage to the designs, technologies, and whatever else considered "new" and might not be so new a year later? This is just gorgeous! Awesome job by Audi, that tail reminds me of some great cars from the past. CLS was (and still is) striking, but let's give Audi the kudos it deserves for creating such a beautiful concept!oh yeah, the white dash looks really lovely but in the production model it's probably gonna be toned down to dark brown or black... because white won't be good when you try to see through the windscreen on a sunny day. the A7 has been moved back by a year and will only appear on showroom floors towards the end of 2010. The car will share some design elements with the A5 Sportback but is positioned higher than that. Effectively it will compete with cars like the Mercedes-Benz CLS, the Porsche Panamera and the Aston Martin Rapide.
Shaped like a coupe in the sense that it features a narrow window line and a coupe-like roof line, the A7 is unlike conventional sports coupes because, like the aforementioned cars it has four entry doors and not two. It also only has sitting space for four adults instead of five.
Engines said to have made the cut include the new supercharged 3.0-litre V6 used in the A6 and the S4/S5, as well as V8s. We reckon a 550hp-plus RS 7 would not be out of place in the company of rivals like the Panamera Turbo and the CLS 63 AMG.Audi Sportback 2010 Concept official details, photos and video
