The chassis has been stiffened up and the steering wheel sharpened for better response. well for the '08-'09 r-design models the stock was 18" rims that looked pretty good, but now it seems like they are trying to milk every bit of money they can out of this car..a lot of the "options" on this new one are standard for the current model. The exterior features the R-Design badge on the grille, grille and door mirror housings in special silk metal finish, new colour-coded side skirts, 17-inch wheels, a tailgate spoiler and chrome-plated sports tailpipes.Volvo have no clue. For an upgrade I'd expect a whole lot more. This should be stock. R-Line or whatever should be a whole lot more. 17's? What rock have they been living under?
nice but not really worth much more money, Volvo picked a bad time to do away with the real R-cars... Why not a C30R ? could be a nice alternative to R32, STi, and EVO10 when hatch version comes out...
Inside the R-Design traits are evident, like blue speedo and rev counter gauges, embossed R-Design emblems in the front seats, a sports steering wheel trimmed in leather with the R-Design emblem and a gear lever knob trimmed in leather and aluminium
The car is powered by the same T5 turbocharged 5-cylinder engine, which produces 227bhp, found in regular C30 models and also sports 18 inch wheels. The C30 is definitely an interestingly - styled car, which adds to its youth appeal and this new package adds some excitement to the line-up of this small car in the US market. The C30 R-Design will be officially launched in the second quarter of 2008 and pricing will be announced closer to that date.
