Don't be overly critical. The car isn't terribly new but the badge is, and the move was unexpected as everyone thought the Duster Concept was going to be the first Dacia SUV, like Renegade said above. Since, no official details have been released yet, I would certainly call this a leak. And a significantly newsworthy story for our eastern European readers. This is nothing else but a Sandero with bumpers and a high ground clearance. I have doubts that we shall see another SUV based on Dacia Duster. The Alliance has already Nissan Qashqai and Renault Koleos. Anyway, being a low cost car, could have good sales, as Dacia has these days.Features include a raised body, a satin-finish chrome front end, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear skid plate and sills, and chrome longitudinal roof bars. The rear has a sporty chrome exhaust tailpipe. The car comes with three metallic paint colours which are called Feu red, Comète grey and Platine grey. Two safety features worth highlighting are the ABS braking system with EBD and airbags for the driver as well as the front passenger.
In the engine bay lies either 1.6-litre 90hp petrol engine or 70hp dCi motor. The former has an average fuel consumption of 7.6 litres per 100km while the latter works up a thriftier proposition with its 5.3 litres per 100km average. Its C02 emissions are 140g/km.
