Toyota Prius 2010 : Reviews of the braking issue

The 2010 Prius is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in 4 trims, ranging from the Prius II to the... read more Prius V. The Prius is a very nice car, that just happens to get 50 miles to the gallon. It would be worth the money even if it only got 30. It is also the quietest car I have ever driven. Here are just some of the extras that the Prius comes with standard; keyless entry and push-button start, heated outside rear-view mirrors, cruise control, aux-input jack, six speakers, steering wheel mounted audio & climate controls, automated climate control, driver & passenger illuminated vanity mirrors, center console storage compartment, and much more. 300,000 sold and only 117 complaints about the brakes. Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 1.8-liter, I4, 134-horsepower, hybrid engine that achieves 51-mpg in the city and 48-mpg on the highway. A variable speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.

The other side of the coin is that I had to break hard today in a parking lot when someone pulled out on me and the brakes worked very well. It is a glitch that can be fixed, and I think that the car is safe to drive. I do think that this issue needs to be addressed, and it is a wake up call to all drivers not to speed and not to tailgate one anothe
