2012 Triumph Tiger 800 XC First Ride Picture

the Motousa.com said The tiger has an engine that is happy to provide smooth torque for slippery off-road conditions, or high-revving horsepower for the street. Well I just rode my new Tiger800 from Baxter Cycle in Marne Iowa to Illinois and then home to Montana.Evidently no one ever rode thru a highway section that was reduced to dirt for resurfacing. The front fender with little more than 5/8ths of an inch clearance doesn't work when its mud-it may be okay to review a bike as an all around bike if the dealers and manufacturer is buying the steaks and giving a tester a job and perks but in the real world a 500 lb -ultra wide-kymco motorscooter windshield don't really make it as a so called adventure tourer. The high intense vibes in the grip will have you riding with one hand and shaking the other after 100 miles. The motor is great but that doesn't make up the difference if you really ride it for what it was supposed to be designed for.One big june bug will have that radiator boiling with you setting along the road .There are almost no aftermarket parts from Triumph in the US.A Shame on Triumph for the hype and no products.racer84
