New KIA Sorento 2009 2010 : Number 3 Rank SUV 2009

Reviews and Specification
The KIA Sorento 2009 2010 delivers good value with its strong towing capacity and excellent safety ratings. However, in comparison to its class, it falls short on fuel economy and ride quality. Yippy! The taillights look like the old Lincoln Navigator. And with all that stuff on the front, it could be a Pontiac Torrent. So is this the rumored unibody, FWD Sorento? A question for everyone outside of the USA: Is there any laws in your location that require yellow/ “amber” colored turn indicators on the rear of the vehicle? And also, do you have to have those indicators on the side, like on the fender by the front wheel, or integrated into the mirrors (Mercedes I think started that trend)? Just curious. That’s my one beef with the 2006.5 Optima- the taillights not having a proper signal, instead using the brake lights as their indicators.
For 2009, the Sorento gets a revised exterior with a new front grille and sixteen-inch wheels for the EX model. Keyless entry and front active headrests are new standard features. "There are a lot of good SUVs on the market, but few that you'd call a bargain," says U.S. News' Rick Newman. "This is one." Despite a powerful engine and long warranty protection, as well as its very affordable sticker price, most reviewers feel that a rough ride detracts from the Sorento's appeal. For a smoother ride, consider the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V.
The Sorento comes in two trims, LX and EX, with a choice of two four-wheel-drive systems.

Acceleration and Power
The base Sorento comes with a 3.3-liter 242-horsepower V6 engine, while the EX gets a more powerful 3.8-liter 262-horsepower V6. This boosts the Sorento's towing capacity from 3,500 to 5,000 pounds. While acceleration from both powertrains is a plus, fuel economy is a downside. According to the EPA, 2WD models achieve 16/22 mpg city/highway with the 3.3-liter engine and 15/21 with the 3.8-liter.

New Mitsubishi Endeavor 2009 2010 : Reviews and Specs of car 2009

New Mitsubishi Endeavor 2009 2010 , We bought a gently used 2007 Endeavor. It truly is a great family car. We have 3 dogs 2 of them are big. The back fits them both with room to spare. With a car seat in the back there is still room for other people. It is very safe and drives like a car. There is some minor road noise but nothing bad. The engine is so quite I love that. The seats are great and the size of the SUV is perfect. It's the little things I love. The lights over all the doors, The visor with extenders, mirrors in the visor, The blue light dash, lots of cup holders, great wipers, sun-gl [****] holder, and semi manual shifting is nice. I always had 5 speeds this is my first automatic. I still can do a little shifting with the semi manual shifter and makes it nice for getting up the mountains. Its a great car only thing we don't like is it does not look easy to put an after market radio in. The radio it comes with is ok but no Ipod hook up is a bummer. We are going to figure something out. Besides that this SUV is a must for the family that wants a good suv for the right price and does not want to blend in with all the highlanders and pilots on the road.
The 2008 Endeavor is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in 4 trims, ranging from the LS 2WD to the SE AWD. Upon introduction, the LS 2WD is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 225-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. The SE AWD is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 225-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.

Pros This suv has some pep in it's step. Very comfortable seats and arm rests. I love how it rides
Cons RADIO. It's hard to put an after market radio in your self. No Ipod hook up on factory one.

New Hyundai Encourage 2009 2010 : Reviews and Specs of car 2009 2010

New Hyundai Encourage 2009 2010 , Great for the price, quieter interior compared to honda, not as quiet as the toyota though. Price is amazing considering the discount you can get in addition to the already low sticker. Consumer reports list lower reliability, but the problem areas are hardware, etc.... not engine or transmission (like the honda). I'd rather have a trim piece problem then an engine problem. Great warranty, I have almost 20k miles and have only used a third of the bumper to bumper. If I had bought the toyota or honda, I'd run out of warranty by next summer. Great option if you are looking for a vehicle to keep for 5 years or more. If you want to trade it in sooner, resale would be important. It's a minivan and we expect to keep it 10+ years..... the warranty will be still good until then..... Great car

New Ford Focus XR5 Turbo 2009 : Review, Road Test and Specs of car 2009

New Ford Focus XR5 Turbo 2009 : Review, Road Test and Specs

New Ford Focus XR5 Turbo 2009, Badged the Ford Focus ST in Europe, it could be the big wheels or the liftback profile - most likely a combinations of things - but ultimately it's a great-looking car, a stylish, sophisticated hot hatch that attracts attention in spades.
The new look is the most significant change for the new XR5 Turbo and though it's constrained to the front and rear aprons it still manages to give the car a new character.
Hexagonal 18-inch alloy wheels with gumball rubber lend the car a performance air. The XR5 Turbo is an aggressive hatch and a mild rear diffuser, twin exhaust pipes and slotted roof spoiler add to this impression.
During regular testing - driving the car to the shops, picking up bags of mulch from the nursery, commuting to work - the car attracted plenty of attention and this says a lot about not only the bright orange paint job but also the overall look of the Focus.
The redesigned headlights and front apron propel the new Focus into a new era, part the Blue Oval's kinetic design philosophy that originated in Europe. First seen on the Ford Mondeo, this 'kinetic' design theme has crept into the new Falcon and upcoming Fiesta. The transversely mounted inline 5-cylinder engine has a 2.5-litre (2522cc) capacity, with aluminium alloy cylinder heads and engine block. New Ford Focus XR5 Turbo 2009 : Review, Road Test and SpecsBelt-driven dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) actuate a total of 20-valves (4-valves per cylinder) and variable valve timing helps increase top end power while improving fuel economy low in the rev range.
The engine has an 9.0:1 compression ratio and makes use of a front-mounted air-to-air intercooler than feeds an exhaust-driven turbocharger. It will accept 95 RON unleaded petrol (or higher octane grades) when filling the 55 litre fuel tank.

New Toyota Kluger 2009 Australia Road Test : Reviews and Specs 2009

New Toyota Kluger 2009 Australia Road Test : reviews and specs 2009

New Toyota Kluger 2009 , The V6's power is delivered to the front wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission that is pretty good in most situations. If you want four-wheel drive, it's not a problem; all models in the Kluger range can also be optioned with AWD, which costs an extra $4500. Toyota cites fuel consumption of 11 litres per 100km/h but we didn't achieve figures quite that low New Toyota Kluger 2009 Australia Road Test : reviews and specs 2009
When I think about, most drivers not only want a powerful engine for the sake of muscle, but in these bigger cars and SUVs, you want that get up and go to really move you when you're in a hurry. According to Toyota the Kluger goes from zero to 100km/h in 8.0 seconds, which if you ask me is fast. Fast for an SUV at any rate. Inside, the luxury appointments (and we drove the base model) are noticeable. Bigger seats for good luxurious Aussie bottoms are in there, and the detailed trip computer lets you know how your fuel economy has been going.
The rear view cameras help to keep everyone safe and are especially reassuring when you've got little ones running around. Overall the interior is nicely equipped. It looks and feels good and everything's been laid out sensibly so you rarely have to hunt for the controls, whether air conditioning or the trip computer buttons. Some of the negatives – it feels big ('cause it is). The Toyota Kluger is almost 4.8 metres long but it's also very wide, measuring 1.91 metres from east to west. The transversely mounted 3456cc 6-cylinder engine features aluminium alloy cylinder heads and block. Chain driven dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) work with 24-valves (4-valves per cylinder) that feature variable valve timing.
The engine can take 91, 95 and 98 RON petrol when filling its sizable 72 litre fuel tank and has a compression ratio of 10.8:1.
