The Fusion 2009 is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in 7 trims, ranging from the I4 S to V6 SEL AWD. The I4 S is equipped with a standard 2.3-liter, I4, 160-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 29-mpg on the highway. The window sticker says 29 mpg, but I get 36 on the highway! I love this car!! Interior, Exterior is brilliant, sporty and best of all, it has a fuel economy that compliments the 5 star safety rating it has so easily been awarded! This is a must buy for anyone looking for a mid-sized sedan, and a luxurious ride!A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The V6 SEL AWD is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, V6, 221-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway.
