The 2010 Taurus is Ford's new flagship that offers full-size car interior dimensions, luxury car interior quietness, a top safety rating as well as advanced technology, to give it's owners confidence on the road.
The front-wheel or all-wheel drive Taurus is powered by a 263-hp 3.5-liter direct injection V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission with the option of steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Taurus redesign also marks the return of the SHO performance model, powered by a twin-turbo version of the 3.5-liter V6, it produces 365-hp and channels that through standard all-wheel drive and a paddle-shifted six-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features include electronic stability and traction control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, six airbags, ignition disable and post-crash SOS alert. There are many kinds of technology features available such as Cross Traffic Alert, Collision Warning, MyKey parental features, SYNC, capless refueling, touch-pad keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, rain-sensing wipers and intelligent keyless entry.Would recommen this car to anyone looking for a sporty sedan with guts, room and comfort, huge trunk and the interior is awesome, and very convient to all controls. The sync system is a must and very handy while talking on the road. The sirius satelite radio will be with me forever. Great car and looking forward to owning a lot of years.
For 2010, the Taurus has been completely restyled inside and out with an all-new sculpted and athletic exterior. The new styling is great and far superior to the boring plain Avalon or the odd looking new LaCrosse. The 3.5 V6 and 6 speed automatic give plenty of power in all situations but it's dissapointing that top speed is governed at only 108. The interior and dash are striking and well thought out expect for the center console which is too wide and sometimes intrudes on your leg. Seat comfort and quietness are better than before and the trunk is still way larger than Avalon and LaCrosse. I would suggest to Ford to come up with more interior color choices than tan and gray, to slim down the center console an inch or so and a glovebox light should be offered at least on upper end models. Other than that this is an impressive car from Ford

Summary
The new Ford Taurus has about as much useful room inside it, counting the trunk, the folding seats, and the interior layout, as your average crossover SUV.It just happens to look and behave like a family sedan. It's big inside, big outside, and it's taller than almost every other sedan on the market with that big bubble roof, but if it's room you need and room you want, this might be the one.It won't outrun a Chrysler 300 Hemi, but it's quicker than almost everything else in the class, and at these prices, we think it's a real bargain.
