Nissan Titan Crew Cab 2010 Reviews

Nissan Titan Crew Cab 2010 Reviews After owning a Ford Ranger 6cyl. (which I kind of liked, but too small), and a Chevy Blazer 4.3 V6, which had so many mechanical problems, with only about 90,000 miles on it, cost me a fortune and got rid of it for a Nissan Altima, which I loved, but needed a bigger, and tougher vehicle for the snow and hauling capacity, thus the Nissan Titan Crew Cab 4X4 SE fit the bill. I found the price to be competitive with the Chevy Silverado and the GMC Sierra series, but overall the Titan won me over. The 2009 Titan Crew Cab is a 4-door, up to 6-passenger full size pickup, available in 14 trims, ranging from... read more the XE 4X2 SWB to the LE 4X4 LWB. Upon introduction, the XE 4X2 SWB is equipped with a standard 5.6-liter, V8, 317-horsepower engine that achieves 13-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway. The LE 4X4 LWB is equipped with a standard 5.6-liter, V8, 317-horsepower engine that achieves 12-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims. The Titan has a powerful 5.6 V8 and accelerates quickly and smoothly with an optional "shift-on-the-fly" switch on the steering column shifter allowing a full RPM range through gears 1-4 both up and down shifting. It reaches 60MPH in no time and effortlessly. I have since added a K&N air intake which has made it even faster off the start and added somewhere between 7-11HP to the 317HP that the Titan comes with from the factory. I also added a bed cover which has increased my fuel economy (that is if I can manage to keep my foot from being too heavy) to between 14-17MPG in the city, and near 24MPG or better on the highway. The Titan handles well for a full size pick-up with 18 inch tires, and takes the bumps just as well, but hold on because it comes stock with Rancho Shocks and they are a bit stiff. The clearance from the ground is unmatched with that of other pick-ups I had looked at and it's undercarriage is packaged well with steel skid plates protecting the fuel tank and the front underside of the engine. Should you have to crawl underneath, it is no problem to slide under this beast. It also comes stock with Dyna front and rear axles which handle the torky engine putting out 385 ft/lbs of tork at about 3700 RPM. That's impressive if you ask me. If you live in an area that gets a lot of snow, like I do, the Titan goes through a foot of it like it wasn't even there!! No doubt the Titan has many features, like a rear power window with defroster even, and tons of storage compartments, cup holders and a decent sound system too boot. Quite a bang for the buck!! Too bad they are considering a discontinuation. Nissan may want to rethink that, and simply make some minor improvements to stay on the road with the others
